Artyarns Knitalong Undulating Leaves Shawl
Knitalong Part 1:
Materials: Size 7 US Needles (4.5 mm)
Artyarns Rhapsody Light or Rhapsody Glitter Light, 80g = 400 yards
Abbreviations
yo: yarn over needle to create an extra stitch; ssk: left leaning decrease–knit 2 together through the back loops; k2tog: right leaning decrease–knit 2 together; s2kp: centered double decrease–slip 2 sts, k 1 st, pass slipped sts over the knit stitch; knitted on cast on: knit into the first st on the needle, but leave it on the needle. With the right hand needle put the stitch back on the left hand needle. Repeat the process and continue until all the required sts have been added.

Row 1: [k1, yo]4 times, k1
Row 2 and all even rows: k1, p to last st, k1
Row 3: k1, [yo, s2kp yo, k1] 2 times
Row 5: k1, [yo, k2tog, yo], k3, [yo, ssk, yo], k1
Row 7: k1, [yo, k2tog, yo], k5, [yo, ssk, yo], k1
Row 9: Using Knitted Cast on, cast on 4 sts. [k1, yo] 5 times, [k2tog, yo], k7, [yo, ssk, yo], k1
Rows 11 and 13: k1, [yo, s2kp, yo, k1]2 times, [yo, s2kp, yo], k7, [yo, s2kp, yo], k1
Row 15: k1, [yo, k2tog, yo], k3, [yo, ssk, yo], k1, [yo, s2kp, yo], k2, s2kp, k2, [yo, s2kp, yo], k1

Then upload a photo of the first part, and I’ll send you the second part via Ravelry private message. You must use Artyarns yarn for the knitalong.

It depends on what yarn you get. If you get Rhapsody Glitter Light, the recommended yarn, you only need 1 skein (400 yards per skein)
This shawl is beautiful – I just got through the first section, posted it on raverly and am excited to continue with part 2 when it comes. I’ve been waiting for a special project to use fancy yarn with – it’s a beautiful lace display that’s easy enough for us “non-yarn-professionals” yet! Love it

Just found out about this knitalong. Looks like a piece I’d wear frequently. Just ordered my yarn from Fabulous Yarns and I hope to get it soon so I can get started.
