Vogue Knitting Live Classes
I will be teaching the following classes at Vogue Knitting Live event:

Friday AM Class: Gossamer Collar from Reversible Knits. This is one of my favorite neckwarmers. It uses 2 skeins of Artyarns Silk Mohair (in 2 colors with ever-so-slight variegation, almost fleshtone). Artyarns Silk Mohair is 60% Kid Mohair/40% Silk, so it is soft as can be.

Friday PM Class: Chevron Ruana from Lacy Little Knits
This project is great for all knitters. It uses Silk Rhapsody, a delectable combination of silk and mohair, which knits up a feather-light jacket that is heaven to wear. It is a really fun and easy class, and a great introduction to multidirectional knitting techniques.

Sunday AM Class: Zigzag Scarf from Modular Knits
Use short rows in your designs, and add additional interest to your knitting. This type of knitting is ideal for handpainted yarn with multiple colors, like Artyarns Supermerino, 100% Superwash Merino yarn.
Sunday PM Class: Two Color Cables, Different on Each Side
Challenge yourself with this new way of thinking about reversibility. I recommend using very soft yarn for this form of double knitting–I used Cashmere alternating with Mohair Splash–because all the yarn is actually doubled, and you don’t want it to become too bulky. I will show you how to chart each side, and create your own cable designs that are different on each side of the work. Requires some experience with traditional cables.
I hope to see you at this event.
found your site today and really liked it.. i bookmarked it and will be back to check it out some more later
I am going to the Vogue Live weekend in September and have signed up for your Chevron Ruana class on Friday. I am very excited to make this project but would like to know if we can substitute another yarn for the ruana. I do not want a varigated color and cannot find a color I want to use. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. My friend and I are coming from Hawaii and look forward to the weekend. Aloha, Joyce Jordan
I will be swatching some alternative suggestions and posting very soon so stay tuned….
